The American Red Cross provides assistance to people in need . free of charge . every single day! Your contribution means a great deal to the organization . but even more to the families who rely on the Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

Each year, the American Red Cross responds immediately to more than 67,000 disasters, including house or apartment fires (the majority of disaster responses), hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters.

		Volunteer Resources Office	Provide Clerical Support to all departments within the Chapter.
		Disaster Services	Volunteers need to respond to state and national disasters, as well as single-family fires in the Southeastern Virginia service area.
		Youth Services	Youth volunteers ages 14-18 are needed too help plan and work at special events such as Kid Care ID and other children-centered activities. This includes monthly meetings, and evening and weekend events during the school year.
		Health and Safety Instructors	Volunteers needed to teach community classes in CPR, First Aid, Water Safety and other programs.
		Armed Forces Caseworker	Volunteers work with local members of the military and their families ensuring the delivery of emergency communications.
		Blood Services	Volunteers (age 16+) are needed to greet and register donors, work in the canteen, and be drivers during blood drives. (Drivers must be at least 18 years of age and have 2 years driving record available.)
		Speakers	Volunteer speakers need to do presentations within the community about various ARC civilian and military topics
		Bingo Games	Volunteers are needed to assist with Bingo games, held regularly on Friday evenings, as well as other times throughout the year.
